How do you feel after exercise? Studies have shown that exercise can help those who suffer from depression, whether it's short-term or long-term. Exercise can help to ease the symptoms of depression and anxiety. Many of us already have an idea of how this works. Exercise releases many kinds of neurotransmitters and chemicals in the brain, one of them endorphins which make us "feel good." Endorphins have the ability to help reduce pain. We are all aware of the physical benefits of exercise, but did you ever think that it could be used as a form of treatment for depression? Not only does exercise keep us physically healthy, it can keep us mentally healthy as well!

I've heard this before and I think its a good concept to exploit because not a lot of people know about it. For me, it takes me a little while to get motivated to start working out but once I start and keep up with it I feel awesome! I'm always more energized and definatley feel happier and more accomplished.
This is a great article! It's ironic because most people who suffer depression don't want to leave bed, let alone exercise. But exercise is one of the best treatments for them. Working out makes me feel better, especially when I'm tired or overstressed. It gives me self-satisfaction because I know I can push myself to go the extra mile. I feel happier and more confident. Even going for a walk can make someone feel better or less-foggy.
Thanks for posing on my blog. I found my article interesting because I too have Crohn's Disease. Any idea what meds your boyfriend is on? Just like to see what works for people because nothing is working for me!
This is great blog you posted! I feel that after I work out it does make me feel alot better, although the struggle it is to actually get to the gym is a pain! If you can just push yourself to get there, it will pay off. Sometimes if I want to push myself and start doing good again I'll buy myself new sneakers and some new work out clothes!-just so it gives me a reason to get my lazy butt there. Nice job Cathleen.
Exercise always makes me feel much better. Some people just say they feel better when they are done exercising. But when I am not in a good mood I go exercise because that is the only thing that will make me feel better. If this is not well-known they should publish more research on it because it will help a lot of people feel better.
